So, what's up? Just been showered with TAGS to do, ha ha ha. But, that's okay. I'll just have to find time to do all these tags and I sure hope for the TAG-senders' understanding. The last two weeks have been a little emotionally draining and when I'm having problems related to the heart, it's a little difficult for me to focus on other things. I'm just thankful that it's been resolved and in the end, love won and I have God to thank for it.
Right now, I'm getting in touch with various agencies and making the usual inquiries about openings, Visas, and immigration matters. Not to mention all the readings I need to do about stuff related to my profession like Microbiology, Blood Banking, Hematology, Parasitology, Clinical Chemistry, and Clinical Microscopy among others. A few days ago, I was just talking about the FINGER PRICK method and that even though it's part of my profession to take blood samples from patients, I simply find the FINGER PRICK more painful than blood extraction via the vein. I'm not really afraid of needles and syringes (and I should never be lest I don't deserve to be a Med Tech, LOL) but, really, the FINGER PRICK simply stings. If you'd like to have an idea of what I'm talking about, try to imagine having someone deliberately wound your finger with a lancet. Ouch! In fact, I've often had patients who'd prefer to ice their fingers before the finger pricking's done. Youch!
So, what brought this topic on? My Significant Other just donated blood several days ago and as we talked about Blood Letting, we also touched on several topics like Blood types and Blood Collection methods. He usually donates blood once a year and I think that's a good thing. You'll never really know how many lives you can save by giving blood.
Incidentally, I found out that my Significant Other's blood type is also "A+" like mine. Now, that, I say, is a perfect match!
Do you know your own blood type? I hope so.
